Meet Laura
Our Founder
Born from over 35 years of family jewellery expertise, Laura Vann was founded in 2013 by British designer Laura Vann to create timeless, modern-vintage jewellery for the woman who values craftsmanship and lasting style.
Laura began her career working for Swedish brand COS, where she was inspired by their ethos of timeless design, accessible pricing and good quality. At the same time, she joined her father’s long-standing jewellery business and quickly realised that, together, their combined expertise could bring that same philosophy to jewellery.
Playing to their strengths, Laura and her father drew on decades of experience in fine jewellery manufacturing to create demi-fine pieces that looked and felt luxurious while remaining accessible. From the very beginning, their jewellery has been produced by the same Responsible Jewellery Council-accredited manufacturer - a family-run business known for its exceptional craftsmanship and stone-cutting expertise. Laura’s father once worked with the father, and today, Laura continues that partnership with his son. This trusted relationship ensures every design is produced with fine-jewellery precision and responsible practices, making Laura Vann’s pieces unique and hard to imitate.
Our demi-fine collections are now stocked by leading retailers including Liberty, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, and Fortnum & Mason and have been worn by a host of iconic women including Michelle Obama, Daisy Edgar Jones and Anya Taylor Joy.
As years went on, we expanded into fine and bespoke pieces - handcrafting solid gold and platinum rings set with diamonds and precious stones, and collaborating to design dream rings with the likes of influential creatives such as Camille Charrière, Laura Jackson, and Pandora Sykes. These pieces are crafted by exceptional artisans at a local manufacturer based in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter - recently awarded World Craft City status.
Our fine jewellery is made from solid gold, platinum, and responsibly sourced stones, and is handcrafted locally by experts in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter which was recently awarded World Craft City status for it's contribution to the jewellery industry.
